I just heard that wounderful song " come to me" and it touched my heart. The day I recieved Jesus in my heart 3-15-78 I listen to the only christian album I had, it was Johnny Cash singing those old hymns of the church. So I just want to tell Jamie, thanks, and to keep on keepin on. " Praise The Name of Jesus" Pastor George

This is such an important point to continue hammering home to brothers and sisters in music ministry. I wrote about the same subject recently on my own blog and referenced many of the same scriptures. I'm not sure many people even know that the bible clearly calls for excellence and skill in music ministry ALONG with spirituality and anointing.

There are many who feel that because Christian/Gospel music is for God, perfecting our gift and striving to serve in excellence is somehow not important. "God doesn't care what it sounds like" is a common statement I hear. But it's hard to argue with the scriptures referenced here. In fact I can't think of a single instance where any offering of less than the giver's very best, was considered acceptable in scripture.

Great article!
